The Digital Advent Calendar “Back to Culture” from Cultural Places is Starting!
The time will soon come: From December 1st to December 24th we are giving away great gifts in our digital Advent calendar every day from organizations in Austria in cooperation with our clients and partners: museums, exhibition halls, theaters, cinemas, from A for Art Carnuntum to V for Volkstheater!
The Digitalize Culture Initiative goes Christmas
As some of you may already know, we launched the “Digitalize Culture Initiative” this year to support the arts and cultural tourism sectors during the pandemic and beyond. This includes special offers for museums and other cultural organizations, our podcast series “Culture Talks”, and much more.
To celebrate the end of the year, we’ve launched an exciting Christmas marketing campaign both for our partners and our community: the digital advent calendar “Back to Culture” on our Social Media channels! Various cultural organizations are giving away prizes ranging from goodie bags to admission and concert tickets. We are joining forces and show the diversity of Austria’s cultural organizations, from small art house cinemas to large museums.
The arts and culture industries have particularly suffered from the pandemic and still are. With the fourth lockdown in Austria and the associated closings, it is all the more important not to forget about culture. With our Advent calendar, we want to give museums, theaters, cinemas, and many more the opportunity to reach new target groups, and also to make cultural enthusiasts happy and draw their attention to organizations that they may not know yet.
Sneak Peek: The Cultural Organizations and their Gifts
What is there to win? We can’t possibly present all 32 organizations and gifts here, but we’ll give you a little insight!
For example, the mumok (Vienna), the Jewish Museum (Vienna), and the Universalmuseum Joanneum (Graz) are raffling off tickets; the Secession (Vienna) is even issuing two annual tickets. Those who prefer to watch films can, with a little luck, win cinema tickets from various cinemas, including the Stadtkino, the English Cinema Haydn (both in Vienna), the Cinema Paradiso (St. Pölten), and a few more! Theater fans also are able to enjoy themselves e. g. at the Volkstheater (Vienna) or at the Theater Kosmos (Bregenz). There is also music on offer at the Oper im Steinbruch (St. Margarethen) or by the Vorarlberg Symphony Orchestra. And a Sachertorte always tastes good – the Hotel Sacher Wien is even giving away one in size L.
We really don’t want to reveal everything now, but just a little more: Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Art Carnuntum, and many more are also raffling off amazing gifts. So stay tuned, and don’t forget to check our social media daily to not miss anything!
Participation in the Advent Calendar “Back to Culture”
It’s only one week until advent, and our calendar will start! As mentioned, we are raffling off admission tickets, concert tickets, or goodies from at least one cultural organization in Austria every day. All you have to do to participate is to follow Cultural Places on Facebook and/or Instagram, like the respective post, and link a friend. Participation is only possible within Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The winner will be selected at random and notified by direct message. The minimum age is 18 years and no cash payments are possible. The competition is not connected to Facebook or Instagram. The exact conditions of participation can be found here (only in German).
Cultural Places Wishes You a Merry Christmas
Yes, without lockdown, the Advent season would definitely be nicer, but we will still spread a bit of the Christmas spirit and provide you with ideas and options for passing the time at home over the next few weeks. At the moment we can just wait and look forward into the future – which can also be a joy, like we’ve waited for Christmas in our childhood. The prospect of upcoming exhibitions, concerts, theater performances, and films definitely helps.
So follow us on Instagram and Facebook, and with a little luck, you can soon win great Christmas presents. We wish you a joyful Advent season and good luck!
