Greece is another Mediterranean country very rich in cultural and historical heritage, and if you’re really into learning a lot about other cultures it might be best to thoroughly explore it on your own. No matter what time of the year you choose to visit Greece, you’ll have plenty of things to see and do — there are tons of astonishing museums, archaeological findings, and gorgeous palaces to see. Of course, if you decide to go there in the summertime, there are so many beaches to enjoy, no matter if you decide to visit a coastal town or one of its many, many islands.

New Zealand

New Zealand is one very calm, chill, and safe country, and it became a frequent destination for solo travelers. It’s not a that big country, and getting around is quite easy, which could be a reason to decide to choose it for your first solo trip. There are many people choosing New Zealand for their solo trips, so you’ll probably meet some fellow travelers. Locals are very friendly and eager to help travelers that are passing by, so your stay should be very pleasant. Also, you don’t need to know any languages besides English if you plan to travel to New Zealand — convenient, right?

This lovely country is super green, and beautiful. You’ll meet some cute animals (no threatening ones, we promise), breathe in the fresh air, and just enjoy the wilderness. We totally understand why it’s in the top 5 of this list. You should probably know that New Zealand is not fully developed when it comes to technology, so you might have some issues with your cell reception and the Internet — perfect excuse for being completely offline for a couple of days and enjoying your surroundings.
